History

A group of women from Dursley and Uley started Rednock Ladies Netball club about 35? Years ago. Training at Rednock Sports Centre on Sunday mornings, there was not enough for 2 teams of players at the time. The club expanded playing friendly games and then joining the Gloucestershire County Netball League, where they went from strength to strength running several teams, with one team playing in the then Western Elite League (now the Sub Regional League) The club has produced many County, Regional and England players. A junior section was started some years ago and the club still encourages junior players to join. Not only has the club supported players but they have been represented in administration at County, Region and England level. The club was one of the first to have a male umpire who gained the then Panel Award now the 'A' award. Also umpires gaining the 'B' award and "C" award. Today the club runs three teams, Raiders, Revellers and Rascals, playing in Divisions 1,2 & 3 respectively, and has made the move for training to Wycliffe Sports Centre in Stonehouse. Rascals still maintain their home venue at Rednock Sports Centre, retaining their roots.
